Touching His Hem

Turn to the person on your left and tell them ‘God bless you’; now turn to the person on your right and tell them ‘I know I’m blessed.’ Lines like these are familiar to many of us but how often have we turned to our right or to our left only to see that there is a woman on either side of us? The fact of the matter is that there has been a great falling away of men from the body of Christ.
The enemy has crept up on us and stolen a gem out of our midst and we seem to be sitting by just watching it happen. Men are an important and essential part of the Body of Christ. Yes, women have stepped up to fill many roles within the church but that does not mean that the men are no longer needed. We share a common goal—to reach the lost with the love of Christ—and it is better accomplished together.
The stories of many women are the same. They are having trouble at home, in their marriages, with their children. Their husbands refuse to come to church and the children seem to be following in his footsteps. It is time for us to realize that Satan has seen something vital to the work of God and he is trying to eliminate the competition.
The fact of the matter is that the enemy has sought after the men in an attempt to undermine the plan of God. He has kept them tied up at work, or hanging out with the wrong group of friends. He has them hooked on drugs or alcohol or pornography. He has sown seeds of discord into their marriages so they feel as though there is no peace in their own homes and they seek peace on the outside. He is trying everything to keep them out of the house of God.
I am calling on women everywhere to join me in prayer on Saturday, Jan. 30th 2010. The Lord has placed upon my heart the need for all women, whe ther faced with this situation or not, to join together and get on their knees before the Lord in prayer. We will be praying especially for our husbands and our children. We will pray for God to turn around every situation, to change anger into love, discord into peace, disobedience into obedience. We are asking the Lord for victory.
It is time for us ladies to walk directly into the enemy’s camp and take back our stuff. Take back our husbands and our children. Take back our love, joy, peace, hope; all the things that were stolen from us. Please join me on this day as it will be a time of great breakthrough in the House of God.
