I am sorry I am with Chris. I have to say I have read the bible front to back and have decided this. There is laws that are written and they do not change. For instance you reap what you sow. That does not just mean for you but anyone. If someone is sowing violence it is reaped somewhere. So two houses down could be a violent husband beating his wife and somewhere else it is harvested. Also Chris is right with his scripture and I point this particular scripture out to everyone. I live by this Scripture Chris just so you know it is a very powerful one with a "PROMISE."
If you are a child of God and you go around blessing people God's word is true he will bless you. Are you calling God's word a lie when you say you do not think God will curse those who curse you??? Stand ready for judgement from God when you meet him!
All throughout the bible God punishes those who are outside his will. Not just for doing wrong but look at Jonah. Do you read the bible because if you did I don't think you would say God is a loving God. Only if we do what God wants is He a loving God. He made us for a purpose. His purpose! Not to do as we please. Once you realize that and start marking time in God's army ready for service you will see a difference in your life and the blessing will just keep coming and coming like the energizer bunny!
America is now living the story of "Job" God is taking away everything; wanting us to turn closer to him as a result just as he did to "Job." If God is so loving why did he test "Job" in the beginning because it served His purpose to prove Saten wrong about "Job."
I ask you to seek these things I have mentioned in this debate in prayer to God my sister because the biggest thing I have found to be true in the bible is if GOD is the same yesterday, today and tomorrow we need to pay close attention to the parallels of the bible's stories with our own lives and heed warnings from them..... because if you don't amend your ways to them then....GOD IS TO BE FEARED!
