I agree with you 110%. The pure of heart truly shine as does your Christian values--a lantern for many. Thank you so much for sharing. What a wonderful compliment from that 17 year old! I believe that when one lives a life of integrity and love for God, it can been seen in a person's face. There is a kindness which is beyond words.

I think the quick answer is obviously yes, since we're still alone. The not-so-quick answer is maybe it's just not God's timing. But at my age, it's hard to believe that. I mean, how old should I be when I marry, 50? 70? Oh well. That's life.
I don't want much: a retired high ranking military office/ mighty man of God/ somehow connected with real estate, who thinks my unstructured living makes life interesting. oh and he MUST be single. MUTUAL Physical attraction is really a must,... if we are to plan a wedding,... otherwise, we can be friends,.. no wedding necessary., MOSTLY he must be GOD's man for me and me his Proverbs 31 woman. -- It must be someone whos main focus in on God and our being together is FIRST to serve God as a team while loving and caring for eachother. I trust that God will provide all we need if He has ordained our relationship and our mission. ...is that too much to ask?

All other things aside, a foundation for a relationship must be present. With Christ as that foundation all things are possible. Without Christ it is doomed from the start. Wishes and goals are great things, they give us a perspective that is unique to each and every one of us. With Him in our hearts beauty is truly in the eye of the beholder, and we can see others as Christ would. So celebrate the differences and seek the heart. I believe the window to the soul is through the eyes, you can tell more through the countenance than a million words...... Just my thoughts ><> ><> Blessings to all.
Hi Ladies, oh and you too Chris, I really could careless what Hollywood or other christians or anyone does. I have always known that I have things I want or prefer in a relationship. Sometimes I think picking a mate would be much easier if I were blind, but alas I am not. So what do we do from here. I know I have a list, I know it would be simpler if the list were shorter. So I am thinking it's really about prioritizing your list. I will not bore you with my list. God bless you all and yes God does promise to meet our EVERY NEED.
Unforately men are not men anymore. Society tells us that men are dumb and useless. Men have been browbeaten. This women wants a Godly man. One that serves, willing to put into a relationship, and one that is not afraid to make difficult choices. A women is to respect her husband, it's hard to respect someone who does not respect themselves. A husband is called to Love his wife, even when it's difficult. It's not just the outward, but the inward. We should try to keep up with ourselves and not let ourselves "go". Not saying that we as women need to be a size 2 and men have to be a 29 inch waist. Just presentable.
I want to edit the above. I meant to say, yes, we're all too picky. Admit it. We all just want someone like ourselves. Wouldn't that be great! We'd see eye to eye on everything and be on the same schedule and wouldn't have to cook twice. Come on, admit it.
You know there are people that I have seen that can look into a person's soul and fall in love with them. It is not all about the appearance you guys. I have known many very good looking fit men that were demon possessed. Some people can't keep their weight down no matter what they do however, you are right if one is pointing the finger at another for it is written and referred to in the bible by Jesus in Matthew 7:3...
"And why do you look at the speck in your brothers eye, but do not consider the plank in your own eye.?
I just want to find someone who understands that I'm not perfect, and that I have flaws, and accepts me for who I am. And I'm perfectly willing to reciprocate that respect. I don't think that's TOO much to ask for :)
