Hi Roger,
Good evening. How are you? I just got home from work. I'm doing well...thanks for asking and for your kind words. Yes, I saw Lion King in October last year and I really enjoyed the play. It was a great play, I'm sure you will enjoy it. Hopefully you will be able to see it one of these days.

Good for you Roger! Right on!!! It's so good to see a normal Christian man just putting it out there. God will bless you for being so forthcoming. Many women complain that guys in the "Christian singles scene" go to all the events but never ask anyone out. I appluad you for taking a first step to make yourself available for love. There is a 35-plus Christian singles picnic on Saturday at Belmont Lake State Park in Babylon. Why don't you come? There will be a lot of really nice Christian women there. I'm taken, but I will pray that God will bless you with someone who is just right for you.

I loved reading your profile, how refreshing to hear a young man speak of such joy for the lord and all that you do for the children.  I absolutely applaud you and love that in every way.  Our children of the world are so fortunate to have you in their lives.  You seem to be an awesome dad as well and kudos to you for appearing to be a great package in such a world of negativity.  Good for you, I am happy to meet you.

Yes, Northport Baptist is wonderful.  It is great that you are happy where you are, that is so very important.  I feel totally at home when I attend church services.  I am now taking the Truth Project class at my church and it is quite informative.  I also take sign language for the death ministry.  I believe communication is very important and if we know other languages it makes it easier for us to communicate with one antoher.  I am not very good at Spanish though, even though I keep trying, lol.  My daughter attends Commack middle school.  She used to go to Holy Family in Commack on Indian Head rd.  She wanted to go to public school and really loves it.  She has transitioned very well.  Also some kids from church go to school there, not that many since our church is in the Elwood/Greenlawn school district.  I live in East Northport but in the Commack school district, which I am fine with.  I have friends that live in Smithtown.  I belong to a life groupl through my church and sometimes we meet at my friends home in Smithtown.  It is great to hear from someone who is definitely in his grip, wonderful.  I look forward to chatting with you.  I feel a positive presence from your words.  Have a great day.

My life group through the church is kind of like a small ministry that discussses happenings from the church.  We become a family unit of sorts.  There are so many of them within the church and you are required to meet either once a week or every other week, it depends on what the group decides.  You have to pick which group is better for you and your family.  Some groups only want married couples, some groups are devoted to singles or just single parents.  There is a group for everyone.  My group is very diverse, I like it that way.  We are all good friends outside of church as well and are there for eachother.  I am very grateful for that being a single mom has it's limitations for sure.  Also my daughter being an only child has it's disadvantages for her.  But the life groups and our church has offered her friends for life who she see's on a regular basis now.  We are truly blessed in so many ways. 

My week was very eventful. I had a very bad tooth infection and ended up having root canal.  I am now all medicated up so not feeling my best.  I have to go back this Thursday for him to finish the job.  I have quite a bit of work that needs to be done in the future, purely from neglect, so I will probably be mentioning the dentist often.

I am going to be taking a week off from work in another week just to relax and do get things done I have been trying to do.  I have never taken a full week off from work and it will be a challenge for me indeed.  I am going to sleep late and try not to concern my self with what may be or may not be happening at the job.  I am too controlling and need to force myself to change because I am truly not in control of anything.  God has all the control. 

I hop you have a great weekend and a better week ahead.  I will be very busy in church tomorrow.  We are having our annual church dinner after service.

I should not still be up right now but I am and will suffer for it tomorrow.  My church dinner was wonderful, I had the best time.  I am with you, I love being around my church family so much.  My daughter loves all the activities within the church as well. 

I am looking forward to a week off.  I am going to go to the womaans bible study on tuesday morning since I cannot go during work.  I am also going to ask if i can volunteer at the church a couple days while I am off as well.  I love being in the church and want to always be available if they need me.  My tooth is feeling a little better but I am pretty good with pain and take it as it comes.  Thank you for the great advice and it will be taken for sure.
