Greetings!

THANK YOU to the Lord for granting us a divine day of witnessing and evangelism. Thank you to everyone who participated in the outreach in NYC. Thank you to those that drove great distances to join us (from NH, VA, NJ, MA). Thank you to everyone (and there were so many of you) that wrote in saying we were in your prayers. Thank you to those at Living Waters, especially Ray Comfort and Tony Miano, who asked us to have this outreach and donated the books. I hope this report encourages your heart and your faith, truly, the day we had was remarkable. To God be all the glory, honor and praise!

28 Christian brothers and sisters met in NYC at Cooper Union College on Wednesday. It was the day that Richard Dawkins (famous atheist and author of “The Greatest Show on Earth: Evidence for Evolution”) was lecturing and having a book signing. We handed out 1,000 free copies (courtesy of Living Waters) of “The Origin of Species”… the original writing of Charles Darwin on his theory of evolution with a 50 page foreword with the creationist and biblical point of view. In less than 1 hour we handed out all copies of the book. We were able to give books to students standing on line for the lecture, as well as students walking all around the area. We also handed out Gospel tracts, witnessed to students one-to-one, open-air preached.

Our group was a great mix of Christians of all different ages, backgrounds and in all different places in their walk with the Lord. For some it was the first time they evangelized… and some were full-time evangelists. Some were new Christians… some were very seasoned. A few were pastors… most were lay-people. Some knew much about apologetics… some shared their testimonies on how the Lord changed their life. We went with the love of God and I believe that stood out to the students. We shared the full Gospel message and we encountered some who listened, some who had sincere questions, some who vehemently disagreed. We had incredible conversations with all different types of students.

A bunch of us eventually went inside to see Richard Dawkins speaking. We listened for about 10 minutes, and in that time, we actually saw him hold up the book we were handing out! He was talking about the missing links in the fossil record, and then held up our book, and said something about it! Then most of us went to dinner for fellowship and fun J

Here is how the Lord divinely touched our day:
- Before caravanning into NYC, many of us met on Long Island for a strategy and prayer meeting… powerful!
- We hit no traffic driving into NYC from Long Island at 4pm… quite a miracle! We didn’t hit any traffic in the city either.
- We were supposed to have rain on Wednesday, but, we had a day without any rain.
- A few people were quite sick the day before and thought they could not make it, but, the morning of the outreach felt fine.
- We were kept safe.
- We all converged in the area at the same time… people came in from Long Island, Brooklyn, New Jersey, Massachusetts, Virginia, New Hampshire, Manhattan.
- We encountered very little opposition.
- We had favor with dropping off the books and parking easily by the site. Everything ran smoothly from start to finish on the outreach.
- There were no police or security that tried to stop us (whereas on Monday, there were many police in the area).
- Our group was very unified in love, spirit and in purpose.
- We left the city without hitting any traffic at all.

My friends, we all left NYC thanking the Lord for granting us such a day. What a wonderful privilege to be a part of this outreach and to function as the body of Christ together! In whatever capacity you were involved, you were a part of this incredible day.

We pray now that the work that was done will be carried on by the Holy Spirit in the hearts of those we reached that day.

I write this report, I tell you of the wonder of the day, for the sole purpose to give God ALL the Glory!
