I am tearfully writing this blog. If it had not been for my single friends, I don't think I could have made it through the things that life throws at me. You all have brought me many years of joy. I will never forget how you were there for me when my brother died a few years ago and at other times in my life.
I remember brunch at Nina's that lasted until dinner time, swing dancing at Donna's and almost busting up her joint, Contradancing then to the diner and getting home at 1 and 2 a.m.! Camping for days with Walter, Old Bethpage Christmas', Second Sunday Suppers that continued to walks in the park, Victor's yearly picnics followed by Annette's barbeques, Super Bowl Sundays, Kayaking then meeting up to barbeque, Worship at New Covenant, Keswick Singles Retreats,Game night and Dances with SinglesStreet. Singles. I can't forget the three hour cruises from NYC. Wasn't the ride there together the best!!
To those who have been my friend through these years, remember that I am only a phone call away. I know you guys are "shipping us out of singles" but don't send us away tooo far. You are more than a singles group, you are my friends. Stop by the store when you are in Farmingdale and say Hi. We can "do lunch". Hope that you will invite Frank and I to some of the get togethers.
To those of you who are new to this group, I want to encourage you to join in. The people that are here at eyoked are the best bunch of friends you can have. I love you all!!!! Valerie
